The POC Coron Air Helmet gets the Robin Goomes Special Touch in Time for Rampage
""Each day I tell myself that 'every day is a dream'. I'm grateful for this life and getting to ride a bike every day, and I never want to take it for granted. I chose the checkers because I tend to wear them a lot. I used to race bikes, so I like how the checkers connect to racing," Goomes said. Her POC Coron Air helmet is nearly completely black, with a checker pattern creeping up the bottom."
""The Kiwi bird is the national bird of NZ, and it's a symbol of the NZ defence force that I served with, so it's a reminder of my roots. The bits of pink are inspired by my Rampage kit from last year," she continued. The checker pattern is also present on the Ora goggle frames and on the band. Pink accents and a Kiwi bird are also found on the goggles."
In 2024 Robin Goomes became the first woman to win Red Bull Rampage while wearing a POC Coron Air helmet. POC released a Robin Goomes Coron Air helmet and matching Ora goggles ahead of Red Bull Rampage 2025. The design draws on Goomes' home and heritage with a black base, wraparound black-and-white checker race-flag motif, pink accents, and Kiwi imagery. Goomes' mantra 'every day is a dream' appears on the helmet and lens tops. The Coron Air uses POC's Whole Helmet Concept, incorporates MIPS rotational protection, and pairs an EPP liner with a fiberglass shell for impact absorption and low weight.
