"Pard Design says that the Impervia is not only their first eBike, but also claims that it's the "first Luxury Gravel eBike". What's a luxury gravel eBike? I'm not sure. Let's see if we can find out. Ok, so it seems that Pard had a customer who already owns their Estrema ebike (pictured below), and wanted something to "tackle cities, dirt roads, and trails without limits," and always "with elegance and power". Boom... the "first Luxury Gravel eBike" was born."
"The Impervia is Pard Design's first electric gravel bike, and it's certainly... something. There's obviously a lot of time and effort that went into the design here, but it seems rather gratuitous, as if they were trying way too hard to make their ripple in a growing sea of gravel eBikes. Art can be like that, though. It can be highly subjective and polarizing at times, which is often the point."
Pard Design created the Impervia as a custom, luxury-oriented gravel eBike that claims to tackle cities, dirt roads, and trails with elegance and power. The frame uses CNC-machined 6082 aluminum and Pard reports a total weight of 18 kg, with a carbon option listed at 15 kg. Every bike is custom-built in an atelier rather than mass-produced. The build includes BCA CNC-machined crank and brake components, fitted with 160 mm rotors. The styling is highly polished and deliberately distinctive, producing polarizing reactions and critiques about excess design flourishes.
