Spotted at Sea Otter: 32" Mullets are Already a Thing
"The first 32" mullet we spotted was in the Fox suspension service booth. Neko Mullaly is here racing in the Sea Otter downhill race, and he brought a super custom Frameworks bike."
"One thing working in Revel's favor is the well-executed sliding dropout system that allows for significant changes to chainstay length. This should make it easy to switch between wheel sizes."
Mixed wheel bikes featuring a 32" front wheel and a 29" rear wheel are becoming popular. Neko Mullaly showcased a custom Frameworks bike with this setup at the Sea Otter downhill race. The bike utilized a Fox Podium fork with reduced travel to accommodate the larger front wheel. Revel also displayed a 32" Ti hardtail, including a mullet version, highlighting its adaptable design with a sliding dropout system for easy wheel size adjustments.
