Shimano Completes Its Lineup of Wireless Drivetrains
Briefly

Shimano has expanded its Di2 wireless drivetrain offerings with the release of the Deore M6200 Di2 and Deore XT M8200 Di2 groupsets, enhancing competition against SRAM’s AXS systems. The Deore XT M8250 incorporates innovations from the XTR M9250, most notably the Shimano Shadow ES technology for a lower profile and optimized impact absorption. The derailleur’s robust alloy cage design provides effective performance without sacrificing durability, ensuring resilience against trail impacts. Additionally, the automatic impact recovery feature helps maintain consistent performance following collisions with obstacles.
Capitalizing on technological advancements introduced with the XTR M9250 rear derailleur, the Deore XT M8250 features the new Shimano Shadow ES technology with a low-profile wedge design.
When the derailleur does take a hit, it absorbs the impact and Shimano's automatic impact recovery function instantly returns the derailleur to its original position.
The Deore XT M8250 derailleur also features a robust alloy cage, which is a little heavier than the carbon cage found on its XTR counterpart but does not limit performance.
The Deore and Deore XT Di2 releases give SRAM's excellent AXS wireless drivetrains and transmission some healthy competition.
