Egan Bernal is currently rehabilitating following a collarbone fracture sustained at the Clásica Jaén Paraíso Interior just a week ago. Despite initial concerns about his recovery time, he has already been spotted biking near Monaco. His team, Ineos Grenadiers, has confirmed that he is under the care of their medical staff. Bernal expressed mixed emotions after crashing but emphasized his confidence from the race, and while he has no set timeline for returning to competition, he remains focused on his training for the season ahead.
Egan's in the rehab process now managed by our medical and performance staff,
I'm sad to have crashed, but at the same time, the way I felt during the race gave me a lot of confidence and motivation to keep working hard, the season (ahead) is very long.
1347 days and a lot has happened since my last win, today NATIONAL TT CHAMPION.
I thought about retiring several times but one day I promised myself that I would keep fighting.
