'SD Worx-Protime started hammering' - Elisa Longo Borghini shines light on unexpected GC action at Vuelta a Burgos opener
Briefly

During the opening stage of the Vuelta a Burgos Féminas, a dramatic descent caused a breakaway that changed the race dynamics. Elisa Longo Borghini, alongside nine others, formed a leading group, catching the chasing teams by surprise. Despite attempts from teams like SD Worx-Protime and Movistar to regroup, it was evident that the dynamics had shifted, with only a few riders managing to keep pace with the leading pack. The result illustrated the unpredictable nature of cycling and the importance of teamwork in high-stakes races.
