"Reynolds Cycling is answering the call to assist riders impacted by CSS Composites' recent shutdown, one that is having a ripple effect throughout the industry. CSS, the maker of Forge+Bond and several rim brands used by companies like Trek, Chris King, and Revel, has closed, ending warranty and crash replacement support for their thermoplastic carbon wheels. As a result, thousands of riders are left without a lifetime wheel warranty that they were promised, a significant selling point for many carbon wheels."
""We didn't create this problem, but we can help solve it. Reynolds has always stood behind its riders, and when we saw the uncertainty facing owners of CSS-built wheels, we knew we could offer a fair, good-faith solution," says Todd Tanner, Director of Wheel Development. "Our priority is to keep riders rolling on wheels they can trust." Seeing the brands rise to support riders is incredible."
CSS Composites, maker of Forge+Bond and rims used by brands like Trek, Chris King, and Revel, has shut down and stopped warranty and crash replacement support for its thermoplastic carbon wheels. Thousands of riders therefore lost promised lifetime wheel warranties and face uncertainty over replacement and service. Reynolds Cycling is offering crash-replacement pricing on complete Reynolds wheelsets to riders with CSS/Forge+Bond wheels or rims sourced from CSS, applying whether wheels were crashed, are out of warranty, or owners want supported products. Eligible riders can contact Reynolds or an authorized dealer to check wheels and receive special pricing. Revel has arranged a similar program with Industry Nine.
