Keegan Swenson uses late attack to win The Growler a second time while Lauren Stephens powers solo for women's victory
Briefly

At The Growler, part of Levi's Gran Fondo, Keegan Swenson defended his men's title by executing a strategic final push, culminating in a time of 5:55:38. Meanwhile, Lauren Stephens secured the women's title through a noteworthy solo ride. The event featured a significant cash purse of $156,000 for elite participants and highlighted a challenging 137.5-mile course with considerable elevation. Swenson collaborated closely with competitor Matt Beers before making his decisive attack. This event showcased tactics, competition intensity, and the growing prominence of this race in the cycling community.
It was a really hard one today. A lot of tactics out there. The break had a pretty big gap at the end. So it was pretty all in. Matt and I were able to get away over that last little bump [12 miles to go] and just went all in to catch that last guy [McDunphy].
You know, it's probably the biggest road race we have in the US, and it's a great event that Levi puts on.
