Hope produced a Pro 5 hub shell with a Hook Flange design developed under license and approval from Berd to fit Berd's textile spokes. The Hook Flange provides literal hooks for the textile spokes to loop around, delivering correct spacing, seat profile, and consistent tension while simplifying builds. Berd spokes can work with many J-bend hubs but require enlargement and chamfering of spoke holes to fit. The Pro 5 retains proven internals (six pawls in sets of three, 54T ratchet, 108 POE, 3.33° engagement) and is offered with multiple freehub options; rotor interface is centerlock and weights were not provided.
