
Jonas Vingegaard won stage nine of the Giro d'Italia for the second time in three days. He attacked near the end of the climb to the finish and rode solo to victory on the 184km route from Cervia to Corno alle Scale. Felix Gall attacked late, and Vingegaard initially tracked him before accelerating in the closing kilometre. Davide Piganzoli finished third for Visma-Lease a Bike. Afonso Eulalio delivered another strong performance, finishing fifth, 41 seconds behind Vingegaard, and retained the pink jersey. After Monday’s rest day, the race moves to a 42km individual time trial from Viareggio to Massa on Tuesday.
