FFWD Falcon RS Disc Wheel is Another 14% Lighter, 10% Wider & Joined by Deep RAW 77
"Only last summer, FFWD updated their disc TT & Triathlon wheel setup to be significantly lighter, wider & faster, but they're already back again with an even newer Falcon RS that takes it one step further for more 'Racing Speed'. It's the same exact multi-curve lenticular aerodynamic shape - just 2mm wider, fitted with CeramicSpeed bearings, and now just <900g. To make your racing against the clock setup faster yet,"
"For lightweight, this new one is now 141g lighter thanks to " higher grades of carbon types as well as an enhanced layup [that] reduces the needed resin", combined with a lighter " minimal, polished top finish ". For speed, the new rear disc wheel is 2mm wider inside for lower tire pressures for lower rolling resistance, plus it gets upgraded to faster-rolling CeramicSpeed bearings."
FFWD's Falcon RS rear disc wheel sheds weight and improves aerodynamics to boost time-trial and triathlon performance. The disc uses higher-grade carbon and an enhanced layup to reduce resin, plus a minimal polished finish, cutting roughly 141g and resulting in a claimed sub-900g rear disc wheel. Internal rim width increased by 2mm to allow lower tire pressures and reduced rolling resistance, and CeramicSpeed bearings are fitted for faster rolling. FFWD also expanded the RAW aero range with a deeper RAW 77 carbon-spoke wheel and wider internal rims on RAW 44 and RAW 55, plus updated rim profiles and tubeless compatibility.
