"The suspension design is something new for Antidote, and this could be what they are referencing when they say that "It will be so much more than just another e-bike," but this is still hard to believe unless there are some hidden details that they have yet to disclose. The closest similar suspension design is an amalgamation of the Antidote Darkmatter downhill bike and Carbonjack enduro bike, but it still has some notable differences from the two."
"This new eMTB appears to utilize a mid-pivot design, although there isn't a clear view of the mounting armature. In contrast, Darkmatter employs a high-pivot configuration, with the idler pivot attached to the rear swingarm and a split-pivot junction at the rear axle. This suggests that the new eMTB may utilize a suspension system more closely related to that found on the Carbonjack, but with modifications and reorganization to accommodate the battery and motor."
Antidote Bikes has revealed an early look at its first electric mountain bike through social imagery and brief teasers. The bike will use a Bosch Performance Line CX motor and, due to downtube dimensions and Bosch battery rules, will accept a battery no larger than 600Wh. The frame appears to adopt a new suspension layout for the brand, showing mid-pivot characteristics rather than Darkmatter's high-pivot arrangement. Similarities to the Darkmatter and Carbonjack are visible, but notable differences indicate reorganization to fit the motor and battery. Full specifications and confirmations remain undisclosed pending an official release.
