Evil Bikes' Mysterious Tease Is Over - Meet the New Offering
"While the new Offering isn't drastically different on the surface, both the front and rear triangle have been redesigned to accommodate downtube storage, a reimagined DELTA link improves sensitivity off the top, maintains mid-stroke support, maximizes bottom out resistance, and features faster Rip (Flip) Chip adjustment and more robust bolts throughout the linkage. While it's not radically new, it's a testament to the fact that Evil kind of nailed the bike's design with the last iteration,"
"One of the most prominent changes with the new Offering is the move away from a super-boost rear spacing (157mm). Going from the wider hub spacing to the more common boost spacing (148mm) is a huge deal for Evil, which has been stalwart with this standard on all of its bikes for years. Evil admits that it lost this battle to push a super boost on the consumer and is reverting to the more common boost spacing and a 55mm chainline."
Evil Bikes unveiled the reimagined Offering as a perfectly aggressive trail bike with aesthetic and quality-of-life updates, multiple travel options, and a return to common boost spacing. Both the front and rear triangles were redesigned to accommodate downtube storage. The DELTA link was reimagined to improve sensitivity off the top, maintain mid-stroke support, maximize bottom-out resistance, and enable faster Rip (Flip) Chip adjustment with more robust linkage bolts. The rear hub spacing moves from 157mm super-boost back to 148mm boost, paired with a 55mm chainline. The chassis is refined rather than radically changed, preserving core geometry and design intent.
