DJI Osmo Action 6 Breaks Boundaries w/ Adjustable Aperture
"It's the first action camera to incorporate a variable aperture system, offering a range from f/2.0 to f/4.0. This departure from traditional fixed-aperture designs allows users to adjust settings based on different shooting scenarios, with the wider aperture providing enhanced low-light performance. Combine that with a larger 1/1.1″ sensor, and it could be the best low-light action camera yet."
"The Osmo Action 6's custom 1/1.1-inch square CMOS sensor isn't just bigger, it's also square. This means you can switch between horizontal and vertical in post without needing to flip the camera on its side and shoot specifically for one format or the other. Plus, it adds Subject Tracking, letting you shoot horizontal, then quickly output a vertical video with you (or your subject) staying centered in the frame."
The Osmo Action 6 adds a variable aperture from f/2.0 to f/4.0 for exposure control and improved low-light capture paired with a larger 1/1.1″ square CMOS sensor. The square sensor enables reframing between horizontal and vertical formats in post without rotating the camera. Subject Tracking keeps subjects centered during orientation changes. Video supports 4K up to 120 fps in 4:3 and native 4K/120fps slow motion, with up to 32x 1080p slow motion via frame interpolation. Features include RockSteady 3.0 stabilization with horizon balance, SuperNight 4K/60fps, 10-bit D-Log M, 2x lossless zoom, and optional macro and FOV-boost lenses.
