Cycling tourism expands with new 2,500km route across Cataluna

Catalu1a has launched a long-distance cycling route called the Grand Tour of Catalu1a. The circular itinerary covers approximately 2,500 kilometres and is divided into 13 stages. The route is designed to support extended cycling travel across northeastern Spain by linking coastal areas, inland valleys, and mountain ranges within one journey. It targets cyclists interested in long-distance touring and combines multiple existing roads, cycling-friendly routes, and regional connections into a structured itinerary. The staged format lets riders complete the full route or choose individual segments based on time, fitness, and travel plans. The route uses Catalu1a1s existing road and cycling-accessible infrastructure rather than newly built infrastructure.
