Completely Reshaped FFWD Drift Gravel Wheels Go Wide & Blunt For More Speed
Briefly

FFWD has introduced new Drift wheelsets designed for gravel biking, available in 36mm and 48mm depths. The updated wheelsets feature a wider, hookless internal rim of 28mm to accommodate larger tires, enhancing aerodynamics and ride comfort. The 36mm depth version, named Drift Control, is lighter by 135g compared to its predecessor, weighing just 1380g, while the 48mm depth option provides a more aerodynamic performance. These changes align with the growing trend of wider gravel tires and the evolving demands of gravel cycling.
The all-new blunt U-shape LAW Tech rim section of the new Drifts is much more akin to FFWD's Ryot aero road wheels as opposed to the original VU-shaped Drifts.
FFWD's new gravel wheels grow 16% wider to 28mm internal, providing a better match to the wider 45 & 50mm tires often ridden today.
Two rim depth options are now available, allowing riders to choose between a more forgiving and lighter ride or a more aerodynamic and reactive ride.
The new 36mm deep wheelset is 135g lighter than before, now coming in at just 1380g for the lightest setup.
