"A Mahle controller sits on the toptube. Ridley designed the E-Grifn to be identical to the rest of their Grifn lineup. The geometry matches, and the visual differences between the bikes are pretty minimal. However, there are definitely some slight differences, such as a larger downtube to house the battery. Certain mounting points have also been removed in favor of internal electronics."
"Also, the smallest size for the E-Grifn is XS, whereas the Ridley offers the Grifn in XXS. Along with the X20 driveunit, B&R's special Ridley E-Grifn features a full carbon build (frame, fork, bars) and a 2x SRAM Force AXS groupset. They use aluminum Forza wheels with 32mm tires, and Forza also handles the integrated bar/stem and seatpost. The Ridley E-Grifn is only offered on B&R's European trips."
Butterfield & Robinson (B&R) operates luxury adventure trips that include multi-night cycling itineraries in destinations such as Morocco, Switzerland, Japan, and Sri Lanka. Guests on cycling trips ride a B&R-branded Ridley E-Grifn e-bike. The E-Grifn is an electronically-assisted all-road bike equipped with Mahle's X20 rear hub motor paired to a 350Wh battery and an optional 171Wh range extender. A Mahle controller sits on the toptube. The E-Grifn shares geometry with the Grifn lineup but has a larger downtube to house the battery and fewer external mounting points. B&R's Ridley E-Grifn features a full carbon build, SRAM Force AXS, and Forza components, and is offered on European trips.
