I planned to step back from the super-serious side of my cycling life and take time to enjoy the ride. To spend more time enjoying the process, and less time rushing through the year from race to race, deadline to deadline."
Jordan Villella is a cycling coach, racer, and gear enthusiast who trains, rides with friends and athletes, and coaches for Cycle-Smart, working with amateurs and professionals. Cycling is central to career and life. Outside cycling, Jordan enjoys music, plays drums, attends shows with family, and shares punk, heavy metal, and ska with his children. Weekends often include trail work with Hollow Oak Land Trust, racing, and outdoor family time. In 2025, Jordan chose to say 'yes' more, stepping out of a predictable routine, embracing unplanned gravel rides, cafe-heavy social rides, and a five-day MTB stage race in Iceland.
