Alex Pretti, a nurse and cyclist, was killed by Homeland Security agents after aiding protesters, and video shows ICE agents committing crimes in Minneapolis. His death spurred the cycling community to organize global memorial rides in his honor, led in part by Angry Catfish bike shop in Minneapolis. Memorial rides are planned across North America, Austria, Australia, Germany, and Finland, with most scheduled for Saturday, January 31st and some on January 30th to coincide with a General Strike protesting a military-style ICE occupation. The rides serve as remembrance and a call for justice.
