"When you think of custom, handmade bikes, you likely think of road and gravel bikes, but at MADE 2025, there was no shortage of incredible mountain bikes to lust after. While I was nearly overwhelmed by all the amazing sights at MADE, I was blown away by all the bespoke mountain bikes that filled the booths this year. This might have been the greatest concentration of one-of-a-kind mountain bikes I've ever seen, and it's only bound to get better each year."
"However, it wasn't just drop-bar bikes that cost upwards of $ 20,000 that were on display at MADE 2025; there were dozens of incredible full-suspension and hardtail mountain bikes to make one salivate. From wacky paint to extraordinary feats of engineering, these are some of the coolest mountain bikes you'll ever see. These aren't just showroom pieces, and many of the bikes at the show still have dust and dirt on them from being tried and tested."
"With a modified single-pivot design yielding 120mm of travel via a steel rear assembly and a Titanium front triangle, this bike is gorgeous and looks like an absolute ripper on the trail. With a full drivetrain and brake set from TRP, wheels from HUNT, contact points from BikeYoke, and suspension from Cane Creek, this is a utilitarian example of functional art."
MADE 2025 presented an extraordinary concentration of bespoke mountain bikes, including full-suspension, hardtail, and downhill race machines. Many bikes were expensive and featured unique paint and engineering, with some showing dust and dirt from real-world use. A titanium-and-steel trail bike by Ashley King combined a titanium front triangle with a steel rear assembly and a modified single-pivot delivering 120mm of travel, outfitted with TRP drivetrain and brakes, HUNT wheels, BikeYoke contact points, and Cane Creek suspension. The show included a downhill race bike fresh from the Pro Downhill series, complete with a Fox 40 and race number plate.
