"While mountain bikes are my bread and butter, I also have a deep love for the world of drop bars in all its forms. From bikepacking to road racing and everything in between, the 2025 MADE Handmade Bike Show had a plethora of beautiful drop-bar bikes to gawk at. Some have disc brakes, while others have rim brakes. Some with suspension forks and some with rigid forks and 32" wheels, but all of them were made to be stared at and enjoyed."
"This Gunnar Hyper-X was outfitted with some really great-looking, custom bags from Beans Outdoor, a Portland-based bag maker that creates gear for all kinds of adventures. Clad in purple Wolftooth Components accents, Cane Creek Wings cranks, and SRAM Red XPLR, this is certainly a looker - but it's the bags, like a good rug, that really bring the thing together."
The 2025 MADE Handmade Bike Show featured a wide variety of drop-bar bicycles covering disciplines from bikepacking to road racing. Exhibits included bikes with disc brakes and rim brakes, suspension forks and rigid forks, and unconventional wheel sizes like 32-inch wheels. The event emphasized artisanal detail, with frames, finishing kits, and accessories carefully considered by individual builders. Highlights included a Gunnar Hyper-X fitted with custom Beans Outdoor bags and purple Wolftooth accents, and the NO.22 Reactor Aero, a single-piece 3D-printed titanium frame paired with a matching finishing kit. The V2 NO.22 Reactor was predicted to be available in late 2025. The display offered inspiration for future custom builds.
