"This is the first show that I've ever put together that was kind of like my baby, meaning I conceived every single part of it. It's my love letter to dance. I wanted to create something that celebrates the art form in all of its different styles and genres, bringing together dancers from ballet, contemporary, tap, and other disciplines to showcase the diversity and beauty of movement."
Tiler Peck, a 37-year-old principal dancer with New York City Ballet for two decades, has expanded her influence beyond performing through social media, books, television appearances, and choreography. Her show 'Turn It Out with Tiler Peck and Friends' premieres in Chicago this month, featuring four original works and collaborations with fellow NYCB dancers, including her husband Roman Mejia, alongside artists from other dance genres like tap and contemporary. Since its 2022 New York premiere, the program has toured to London and multiple U.S. cities. Peck describes the show as her most personally meaningful project to date, representing her creative vision and passion for dance.
