Bord Bia Bloom’s 20th year will run for five days in Phoenix Park, welcoming over 100,000 visitors. The festival will feature 20 new show gardens and include brant show gardens, Irish food, inspiring talks, and hands-on workshops. Galway will be represented by 16 exhibitors and vendors, including Away With The Fairies, which creates fairy doors, affordable fairy housing, and fairy gardening supplies to encourage engagement with nature. Nature Safe, represented by Irish gardening expert Brian Burke, offers natural, organic, and sustainable garden care products based on wild Atlantic seaweed hand-harvested along the Connemara coastline. The festival will also showcase Irish crafts from Thin Line Coastal Maps, Wild Irish Kin, and Bofin Weaves, alongside additional Galway businesses including STIRA, Woolow, and Revive Active/Galway N.
"Away With The Fairies has been spreading their magic from Galway since 2001. “We create and supply fairy doors, affordable fairy housing, and fairy gardening supplies. We aim to encourage young people and the young at heart to engage with nature through the fun hobby of fairy gardening,” they explained."
"Irish gardening expert Brian Burke is the Brand Ambassador for Nature Safe, who offers a proudly Irish range of natural, organic and sustainable garden care products. At the heart of Nature Safe is wild Atlantic seaweed, hand-harvested along the Connemara coastline. Best known for his role on RTÉ's Super Garden, Brian will bring practical advice and inspiration to gardeners of all levels with a Sustainable Gardening Masterclass and Q&A session at the Nature Safe stand on Friday, May 29 at 11.30 am."
"Crafts will also be a vital part of the festival, with arts from Thin Line Coastal Map, Wild Irish Kin and Bofin Weaves being showcased in Dublin over the long weekend. Thin Line Coastal Maps makes Irish coastal wall art maps, highlighting the different depths of the ocean and lakes of Ireland. Family-run Wild Irish Kin creates handcrafted metal sculptures inspired by Irish wildlife and visual heritage. While Bofin Weaves is an artisan textile and handweaving business that takes inspiration from the beauty of Inishbofin."
