Sun Home's Luminar Sauna Did Not Convert Me to Infrared Saunas
Briefly

The Sun Home Luminar sauna, priced at $10,000, is a stylish and functional infrared sauna designed for backyard use. Attractive in both design and functionality, it offers a Bluetooth audio system and customizable settings for an enjoyable experience. However, assembly can be difficult and takes over an hour to heat up fully. Safety precautions are necessary to prevent burns and avoid getting locked inside. The sauna's growing popularity can be attributed to the sauna culture in rainy Portland, where it helps combat seasonal depression.
It's an infrared sauna-so no steam. Assembly process was rough for me. It takes well over an hour to get to full heat.
For the past few weeks, my 10-year-old daughter has had a little ritual. Once she gets home from school, she grabs her library book and disappears into the backyard.
I live in Portland, Oregon, which has a healthy sauna culture-probably because in an area that's so gray and rainy, saunas have become an important tool to fight seasonal depression.
You can choose to either risk getting locked inside or risk the door whipping open and shattering.
