Bayern Munich played to a dramatic 2-2 draw with rivals Borussia Dortmund, a result that frustrated head coach Vincent Kompany. Despite good opportunities in the first half and a positive tempo, Bayern struggled to maintain control after Dortmund's opening goal. Kompany acknowledged the entertaining nature of the match but expressed disappointment for not gaining an essential three points in their title challenge, missing an opportunity to pull ahead of Bayer Leverkusen in the standings. The draw now leads Bayern to focus on their upcoming Champions League match against Inter Milan.
I felt that until the first goal, we had some good tempo on the ball. We created chances here and there. One of them with Michael [Olise] was quite a big chance in the first half.
As a fan, I would buy a ticket to go to a game like this. But of course, as a coach, you want a little bit more control.
We fought until the end to win this game. I felt that we had a team against us that was doing the same.
Every point is difficult at this stage of the season, so it's a good point.
