Serge Gnabry agreed a contract extension with Bayern Munich that keeps him at the club until 2028. Bayern moved to extend the winger before he became a free agent at season's end and offered terms that persuaded him to stay. Tottenham Hotspur registered interest during the January window and indicated they would wait if Bayern talks failed, but Gnabry declined Spurs and remained in negotiations with Bayern. Gnabry has produced strong on-field numbers this season with 15 Bundesliga appearances, six goals and five assists, plus Champions League involvement. Tottenham can instead target Leon Goretzka, who will be a free agent next summer.
