Sarah Zadrazil named Austria's 2025 Women's Footballer of the Year
"Sarah has helped shape the development of the FCB Women in recent years and has played a key role in our sporting success over the past few years - crowned with the first ever double of cup and championship in 2025. Off the pitch, she's also a terrific role model and represents women's football for FC Bayern and for Austria in a professional and likeable manner."
"It was Zadrazil's consistency and game intelligence in particular that helped Bayern to a historic first domestic double in 2024/25, winning the Bundesliga, DFB Cup and later also the Supercup. However, her year was cut short in September as she suffered a cruciate ligament injury in the Bundesliga game against Freiburg. She has since been working on her recovery and ended 2025 with some positive news as she extended her contract in Munich until 2027."
Sarah Zadrazil has been named Austria's Women's Footballer of the Year for 2025, her second win after 2018. The 32-year-old midfielder has scored 58 goals in 119 caps for Austria and has been a consistent, experienced presence for both Bayern and the national team. Her play and game intelligence helped Bayern achieve a historic domestic double in 2024/25, including the Bundesliga, DFB Cup and Supercup. Zadrazil suffered a cruciate ligament injury in September but has been working on recovery and signed a contract extension with Bayern that runs until 2027.
