Report: Bayern Munich's Thomas Muller wants LAFC move, but it's complicated
Briefly

Bayern Munich forward Thomas Müller is considering a move to Los Angeles FC (LAFC) but is currently hindered by financial negotiations. Both Müller and LAFC are interested; however, they have yet to finalize an agreement. Adidas is stepping in to help bridge the financial gap, as Müller has a contract that could benefit from this move. Bayern hopes to secure the transfer to position Müller as an ambassador in the U.S. market, especially with the 2026 World Cup approaching. If the transfer fails, Müller may contemplate retirement.
Müller is currently only interested in a move to LAFC. If the transfer falls through even with the support of Adidas, Müller could decide to retire.
Bayern are pushing to make the move to their partner club happen and make Müller their US ambassador for the American market.
Adidas is involved to close the gap. Müller has a contract with Adidas, which could be extended and improved in the event of a move to the MLS.
Los Angeles FC wants to sign Thomas Müller and Müller also wants to go to LA in principle, but both parties have so far been unable to reach a financial agreement.
