"Boey has not suited up for Bayern Munich since November 1, when he had a 16-minute cameo in the victory against Bayer Leverkusen. His last start for Bayern was back in mid-October against Borussia Monchengladbach. The 25-year-old was pulled at halftime in this game to bolster the attack. Having said that, Sacha Boey did have a decent start to the season. He racked up six starts and helped the team win in every game he featured in. With Hiroki Ito and Alphonso Davies returning from injury, the minutes started to diminish for the Frenchman."
"With Hiroki and Phonzy back, we have a lot of full-backs with very high quality. So things could be difficult for one or another. And then it would probably make sense to think about a change. It's still January 6th, there's still time before the end of the transfer window"
Bayern Munich aims to trim its squad in the winter window by moving fringe players who lack game time. Sacha Boey has fallen down the pecking order at both full-back positions after Hiroki Ito and Alphonso Davies returned from injury. Boey has not featured since a November 1 cameo and last started in mid-October, despite a decent early-season run of six starts and wins. Tactical limitations and awkwardness linking play in the final third have limited his fit in Vincent Kompany's system. A January exit would offer Boey regular minutes and free squad space for Bayern.
