Joshua Kimmich, Serge Gnabry and mascot Berni handed out gifts, answered children’s questions, and fulfilled photo and autograph requests. The visit lasted over two hours and provided welcome distraction and joy for the youngsters and their families. Children responded happily to the gifts and the opportunity for photos. Following the visit, the players and Berni attended the awards ceremony for a children's hospital charity run that involved nearly 200 children and runners. The event emphasized children's willingness to run to raise money for charity and was described as a fantastic initiative and an overall very nice day.
