Josip Stanisic visits children's hospital in Munich
"It's a nice experience: you enter with a tear in your eye and leave with a little smile because it makes you so happy to bring joy to the children!"
"It's a blessing for our children, we wanted them to feel comfortable at the clinic - so it was a huge highlight of course!"
"It makes me happy to see the children are fighting and not giving up in these difficult times! I can learn a lot from that!"
Josip Stanišić, a 25-year-old FC Bayern player, visited a children's oncology ward bringing teddy bears, signed jerseys, scarves, hats, sweets and a pen to sign toys and clothes. He signed many items and described the visit as a moving experience that brought smiles to children and staff. Guggy Borgolte, responsible for donations, public relations and administration at the Hauner foundation, called the visit a blessing and a huge highlight aimed at making children feel comfortable at the clinic. Stanišić said he was inspired by the children's resilience and expressed a desire to return soon.
