Franck Ribery speaks on his successors at Bayern Munich in Michael Olise and Jamal Musiala
Briefly

Franck Ribéry's retirement in 2019, alongside Arjen Robben, posed a challenge for Bayern Munich. Kingsley Coman succeeded Ribéry but is reportedly leaving. To uphold the legacy of French wingers, Bayern signed Michael Olise in 2024, who has impressed in his performances. In a recent interview, Ribéry praised Olise for his attitude and urged him to handle the pressures at Bayern. He also commended Jamal Musiala, emphasizing the importance of enjoying the game amidst high expectations placed on young players in football.
I'm very pleased with his performance so far. Of course, what makes him special for me is that he's also French - I'm always happy when French players play for Bayern. Olise is a good lad - he thrives on being young, carefree, and having fun. He has to maintain all of that, even if he stays at Bayern longer, and not let himself be overwhelmed by the pressure that always prevails at Bayern.
Jamal is a very unique player, and so is Michael. Even if they don't play the way I do, they are unique and enormously important for Bayern. The trick is to see football as a game and to enjoy it.
When you're young, people's expectations are naturally high, and they're constantly rising. But we footballers aren't machines. I got to know Jamal in training when I watched him. I told him he had to keep playing like that and he had to stay at Bayern.
