FC Bayern acquires Sportpark Unterhaching for FCB Women
"The acquisition of Sportpark Unterhaching is another milestone in the overall development of our FC Bayern Women. The new sporting home of our women's team will meet UEFA requirements and also satisfy spectator demand in the future. In the medium term, Sportpark Unterhaching is to become the new home for the whole of FC Bayern women's football. I would like to express my sincere thanks to Unterhaching's mayor, Wolfgang Panzer, for our very positive and constructive discussions."
"Unterhaching has a long tradition as a sporting community. Our teams participate in national and international competitions, and we've produced medal winners and Olympic champions at the Olympic Games. Of course, sporting history has also been made at the Unterhaching stadium. I'm delighted that FC Bayern will now continue all these success stories with its women's teams. I know the whole of Unterhaching - especially grassroots sport - will benefit from these developments and this momentum."
FC Bayern will own Sportpark Unterhaching via Allianz Arena Stadion GmbH from 1 January 2026. After necessary infrastructure adjustments, Sportpark Unterhaching will host all FC Bayern Women's matches and training sessions. From the 2026/2027 season, FC Bayern Women's home matches in the Champions League will be played at Sportpark Unterhaching. SpVgg Unterhaching's first team will continue to play home games at the Sportpark stadium. FC Bayern describes the acquisition as a milestone that meets UEFA requirements and spectator demand. Unterhaching’s mayor highlights local sporting tradition and expects benefits for grassroots sport; the municipal council voted unanimously in favour.
