Bayern Munich has resumed strengthening its youth academy after a period of reduced young talent acquisitions during leadership transitions. The club completed the signing of 16-year-old midfielder Matteo Maric from RB Salzburg in early March. Maric progressed rapidly through Salzburg's youth system, advancing from U-15 to U-18 within a year. The Austrian talent previously played for LASK and Blau-Weiß Linz before joining Salzburg in 2024. RB Salzburg attempted to extend Maric's contract, but his representatives requested a release clause the club refused to include, leading to his transfer to Munich's Campus.
