Eric Dier, after joining Bayern Munich from Tottenham Hotspur, has decided not to extend his contract which is set to expire at the end of the season. Sporting director Christoph Freund confirmed that they had discussions about a new contract, but Dier expressed his desire to leave. Having made 45 appearances and scored two goals for Bayern, he is reportedly set to join Ligue 1 side Monaco in July, aiming to cap his time at Bayern with a potential Bundesliga title.
We had discussions with Eric about a new contract. He told us that he doesn't want to extend and will leave us. He's a great guy.
Dier joined Bayern on loan in January last year after a decade-long stint at Premier League side Tottenham... He signed a deal until June 2025, but has opted not to extend it further.
