Lennart Karl came on the pitch in the second half, scoring two goals and supplying an assist. So he was the man of the match. However, there were a few other Lennart Karls on the pitch; I was very impressed with the first half of Santos Daiber (18). He's a midfielder, a little like Joshua Kimmich; perhaps here we have another big talent."

Vincent Kompany rotated his squad during the friendly, giving youth players opportunities. Lennart Karl scored twice and assisted, Felipe Chávez combined well with Karl, and Santos Daiber showed midfield qualities reminiscent of Joshua Kimmich. The squad depth and youth integration appear to be delivering positive results.
