Bayern Munich is reconsidering the potential acquisition of defender Jonathan Tah, who is now available on a free transfer after a previous unsuccessful pursuit. Despite confirming his exit from Bayer Leverkusen, doubts linger regarding his fit within Bayern's squad, partly due to unresolved tensions from last summer's failed negotiations, where the club's supervisory board blocked a deal over a â¬5 million difference. Fans' frustrations are also palpable as they deal with the aftermath of recent seasons and Champions League eliminations.
Although Bayern are looking for a centre-back and Jonathan Tah has confirmed he will leave Leverkusen on a free, there are still big doubts over him at Bayern.
Last summer, Bayer Leverkusen was not going to let Tah leave for a reasonable price and Bayern Munich did not want to meet the high 'asking price'.
In addition, bridges were burned between Tah, his representatives and Bayern last summer after Max Eberl reached an agreement with him, only for the supervisory board to veto the move in the end.
Bayern Munich fans might be exhausted and mentally worn down from the past few seasons, leading to doubts about signing Jonathan Tah.
