Thomas Müller has played his last game for Bayern Munich, but discussions about his future may be necessary due to Jamal Musiala's injury. Musiala, expected to take on a larger role, has suffered a severe injury during the FIFA Club World Cup. In a post-game interview, Müller expressed discomfort at the idea of his potential extension amidst Musiala's pain. Although it is uncertain if Müller will stay for another six months, he respects his teammate's situation and indicates that a decision will be made eventually by both management and himself.
In the post game interview, Thomas Müller was asked whether a further stint of 6 months was possible, in light of Musiala's injury. He replied, "I understand why you ask this question, but It's a bit - I'm not saying tasteless - but it feels uncomfortable to me."
Although, the time will soon come when a call of this nature has to be made by the management and the player himself. However, like Müller said, it is too soon for a player to answer whether he would replace his teammate who is currently in agonising pain and trauma.
