Bayern Munich transfer plans for Yan Diomande emerges
"Diomande joined Leipzig in the summer of 2025 on a five-year deal from Leganes. The exciting attacker took no time to settle in at his new club and has scored six goals and provided two assists in 16 Bundesliga appearances. The youngster has terrific pace, dribbling ability, and an eye for picking passes, making him an attractive player. Capable of playing on both flanks, Diomande is far from a finished product, but he has the potential to become a top-class player in the future."
""It's a complicated situation with Yan Diomande (19), as Bayern already have a number one starter in this position in Diaz. "So, do they want to spend over €100m [£86.7m] for a player who they're not sure will start ahead of the Colombian? "He's a teenager and a big talent, so Bayern will try something, but I don't think they're going to spend so much money on him. Don't forget that Diomande mentioned he has a dream club he'd love to play for: that's Liverpool.""
Bayern Munich came from behind to beat RB Leipzig 5-1 after Leipzig dominated early and Yan Diomande impressed. Diomande signed for Leipzig in summer 2025 on a five-year deal from Leganes and has contributed six goals and two assists in 16 Bundesliga appearances. He offers excellent pace, dribbling and an eye for passes, and can operate on both flanks while still needing development. Bayern are linked with a move to strengthen the left side but consider the situation complicated because Diaz occupies the starting role and spending over €100m on an unproven starter is unlikely. Diomande has expressed a preference for Liverpool.
