Bayern Munich News: No talks with Lennart Karl on extension...yet
"It is NOT TRUE: Contract talks with Lennart Karl are officially underway. The contract is now one year longer than it was at the beginning of the season (extended to 2029). Bayern are really interested in extending this to the summer of 2031. However, at the moment, there are no talks between the club and his management."
"FC Bayern are more than aware of the fact that he has so much time left in his career, so they're happy to wait. Lennart Karl can certainly ensure he has a stronger negotiating position if he waits. So, at the moment, Bayern don't feel there's a pressing need to talk!"
Bayern Munich has not officially started contract negotiations with 18-year-old prospect Lennart Karl despite recent reports suggesting otherwise. Karl's contract automatically extended through 2029 on his 18th birthday, and Bayern intends to extend it further to summer 2031. However, no active talks between the club and Karl's management, represented by agent Michael Ballack, are currently underway. Bayern believes there is no pressing urgency to negotiate immediately, as Karl has considerable time remaining in his career. Karl currently earns €2 million annually. Both parties appear aligned on a longer-term relationship, with Karl potentially waiting to strengthen his negotiating position through future achievements.
