Bayern Munich legend, Lothar Matthaus, urges board to restructure Leroy Sane's contract extension offer
Briefly

Lothar Matthäus comments on Bayern Munich's contract negotiation efforts with Leroy Sané, urging them to acknowledge his value following a productive season. Proposed salary restructuring could help secure the player, yet internal financial strategies, managed by Max Eberl, complicate the situation. Matthäus argues that offering an adjusted salary to Sané could effectively reflect his contributions without increasing the overall wage bill. The ongoing discussions around Sané's future raise questions about Bayern's valuation of the player compared to Matthäus'.
Sané has shown his importance many times over the past season. They should try to reach an agreement with him. I don't know the exact figures, but they could, for example, change 10 million in fixed salary and 5 million in bonuses to 12 million in fixed salary and 3 million in bonuses.
In the end, you'd end up with the same total, just distributed a bit differently.
Unlike Sané, I would consider Coman a candidate for sale.
The Bayern Munich supervisory board have surely considered restructuring the deal in such a manner and as such raises the question, why haven't they?
