Bayern Munich battle Arsenal for Givairo Read
"According to a report from Florian Plettenberg, Read is high on Bayern's shortlist for next summer. The Dutch champions signed him for their academy in 2023 before promoting him to the senior squad. He has already made 13 appearances, contributing one goal and three assists for Robin van Persie's side. The Sky Germany journalist claims that Feyenoord have now been officially informed that talks have already taken place between Read's camp and Bayern."
"Read has a contract at the Dutch club until 2029, and is valued at around £22m-£30m. The 19-year-old has been one of the standout players in the Eredivisie, and according to De Telegraaf, Arsenal, Manchester City, and Bayern are also vying for his signature. Do Bayern need a new right back? Bayern have Konrad Laimer, Sacha Boey, and Josip Stanisic as major options. Unless the Bavarian giants are planning to shop out Boey next summer, it makes little sense to invest in another right-back."
Bayern Munich, Arsenal and Manchester City are reported to be interested in signing 19-year-old Feyenoord right-back Givairo Read. Read joined Feyenoord's academy in 2023 and was promoted to the senior squad, making 13 appearances with one goal and three assists. Read is contracted to Feyenoord until 2029 and is valued at around £22m-£30m. Talks between Read's camp and Bayern are said to have taken place. Bayern currently list Konrad Laimer, Sacha Boey and Josip Stanisic as major options at right-back, while Arsenal have Jurrien Timber, Ben White and Cristhian Mosquera available.
