Barcelona's Flick backs VAR use in controversial win over Rayo Vallecano
Briefly

In a tense La Liga match, Barcelona's manager Hansi Flick defended VAR following controversial decisions that left Rayo Vallecano frustrated. Barcelona's Robert Lewandowski scored the winner via a penalty after a lengthy VAR review of an uncalled foul, while Rayo had a penalty claim denied and a goal disallowed. The match put Barcelona at the top of the standings. Despite strong performances from Rayo, who nearly equalized, Flick praised both his team and their opponent’s capabilities, emphasizing the difficulty of the game, whereas Rayo's manager expressed bitterness over the officiating after the match.
I haven't rewatched the incidents but I will always stand by the VAR. We have the VAR and I believe in the VAR, that's all I can say about it, Flick told Movistar Plus.
When asked about the calls, a visibly frustrated Rayo manager Inigo Perez said: I prefer to keep to myself my opinion regarding the referee today but everyone acts as they should or believe they should.
It was a tough game for the players and I'm proud of them. Rayo are in a good form, playing very well.
