This is also confirmation of our efforts in youth development. Special thanks also go to their childhood clubs, who laid an important foundation for their careers. We're delighted about these awards and that we get to follow Alara, Luzie and Maria on their paths here at Bayern."
"Three FC Bayern Women players in Alara Şehitler, Luzie Zähringer and Marie Gmeineder have been awarded Fritz Walter Medals for their performances over the last season. Şehitler won the gold medal in her U19 age group, while Zähringer took gold and Gmeineder bronze at U17 level."
"Alara, Luzie and Marie aren't just getting these awards for their sporting efforts but above all because they've impressively embodied and demonstrated the values of Fritz Walter with the national team,"
Alara Şehitler, Luzie Zähringer and Marie Gmeineder received Fritz Walter Medals for strong performances last season, with Şehitler winning U19 gold and Zähringer gold and Gmeineder bronze at U17. Bianca Rech praised their impressive development and potential, credited FC Bayern's youth development efforts and their childhood clubs for laying foundations, and said the club looks forward to following their careers. The German FA noted the medals recognize sporting achievement and the players' embodiment of Fritz Walter values with national teams. The Fritz Walter Medal has been awarded annually since 2005 to Germany's best youth players. FC Bayern Women will host Arsenal at the Allianz Arena in November.
