Sagrada Familia Half Price for Locals
"For once, Barcelona's most famous landmark is not just about tourists, queues and camera flashes. In 2026, the Sagrada Familia is firmly turning its attention towards locals, offering Barcelona residents a 50 per cent discount on tickets for the entire year. It is a gesture that feels symbolic, long overdue for some, and closely tied to a year that marks a turning point in the history of the basilica."
"At present, a standard ticket to enter the basilica costs €26 and includes an audioguide. Guided visits are priced at €30, while tickets that include access to the towers cost €36 with an audioguide or €40 with a guided tour. Throughout 2026, residents benefit from a 50 per cent reduction on all of these options, making visits far more accessible for those who may have put them off in recent years. There is, however, one important detail."
Barcelona residents can buy Sagrada Familia tickets at half price throughout 2026 if they can prove official residency. The offer runs from 1 January to 31 December 2026 and applies to all ticket types, including standard entry, guided visits and tower access. Regular prices are €26 standard, €30 guided, €36 tower with audioguide and €40 with guided tower tour. Residents must contact the basilica's reservations centre directly by email to book discounted tickets, as the offer is not available through the usual online booking system. The incentive coincides with completion of the Tower of Jesus and the 100th anniversary of Antoni Gaudí's death.
