Joao Cancelo has returned to Barcelona on loan from Al-Hilal for the remainder of the season. Cancelo previously featured for Barcelona in 2023-24, making 42 appearances under Xavi. The 31-year-old adds defensive cover on the right with Jules Kounde the only recognised right-back in the squad. Cancelo could be available as soon as the Copa del Rey tie away to Racing Santander. He moved to Al-Hilal from Manchester City about 16 months ago for roughly £21.2m, appeared 24 times there with five assists, and aims to enjoy, perform, help the team improve, and win titles.
