"Brown, 32, was a spot starter for the Texans last season but was effective once he was healthy enough to play in Week 10 (knee). He started seven games and from Week 10-16 allowed the sixth fewest pressure rate (7.1%) among right tackles with at least 200 pass blocking reps according to Next Gen Stats."
"A seventh-round pick by the San Francisco 49ers in 2015, Brown has appeared in 110 games, with 103 starts, in 11 seasons. He was a Pro Bowl selection in 2019 while playing for the Raiders."
The Houston Texans extended offensive tackle Trent Brown with a one-year deal valued at up to $7 million. This agreement follows the team's trades of starting right tackle Tytus Howard to the Cleveland Browns and offensive lineman Juice Scruggs to the Detroit Lions in exchange for running back David Montgomery. Brown, 32, served as a spot starter last season and demonstrated effectiveness after returning from a knee injury in Week 10. During weeks 10-16, he ranked sixth among right tackles in pressure rate at 7.1% with at least 200 pass blocking reps. Brown has played 110 games with 103 starts across 11 seasons since being drafted by San Francisco in 2015.
