
Cristina Rendon, a weekend anchor and reporter at KTVU-TV, plans to depart next month and move to Dallas with her husband and daughter to be closer to family. She announced the change during a Saturday broadcast, with her last day on air set for Saturday, June 13. Rendon joined KTVU-TV in 2013 as a reporter, worked previously in TV news in Salt Lake City and Texas’ Rio Grande Valley, and became an anchor in 2020. She described her next step as a “big leap of faith” while hoping to succeed in her new location. She cited Bay Area career highlights including the 2014 South Napa earthquake, the Giants’ World Series win, and climbing to the top of the new Bay Bridge span, and she thanked viewers for their support during the pandemic.
