"Palo Alto School District's Acting Superintendent Trent Bahadursingh is out, school board president Shounak Dharap announced tonight (March 17) after a lengthy private session by the board. Bahadursingh, who was former Superintendent Don Austin's right hand man, has been the district's leader for about two weeks after Austin and the district parted ways."
"Bahadursingh will be getting 12 months pay to leave the district, as per his contract, Dharap said. Board members Shauna Segal and Rowena Chiu voted no on the separation agreement."
Palo Alto School District's Acting Superintendent Trent Bahadursingh has been removed from his position following a private board session on March 17. Bahadursingh, who previously served as right-hand man to former Superintendent Don Austin, led the district for approximately two weeks after Austin's departure. The school board approved a separation agreement providing Bahadursingh with 12 months of pay as compensation. Board members Shauna Segal and Rowena Chiu dissented from the separation agreement vote. The district has not yet provided detailed reasons for the termination.
