"I'm leaving it up to the doctors. Just following the plan. The plan is going good so far. You never know."
Trae Young made his first return to State Farm Arena since being traded to the Washington Wizards in January. The point guard, who spent eight years with the Hawks and was the franchise's face, remains recovering from a sprained right knee and quadriceps contusion sustained nearly two months ago. Young expressed optimism about his recovery while remaining noncommittal about playing again this season, deferring to medical guidance. Despite the trade ending his tenure with Atlanta, where he earned four All-Star selections and led the Hawks to the 2021 Eastern Conference Finals, Young expressed no hard feelings and appreciation for his time with the franchise.
